A Change of Plans - Original Painting

Framed in pink acrylic frames. 

In these abstract paintings, I have combined my love for pink and orange in the background, with heavier paint using a palette knife on top.  It’s a combination acknowledging my older Pink Series Paintings and the more recently created Orange series. The turquoise representing the water.

I have been inspired my love of Mark Rothko, which only came about once I saw his paintings in real life at the Tate Modern in London.  The luminosity he created between colours fascinates me. 

The frames are acrylic, and look like they have been plugged into the mains, but they have not. They reflect light beautifully, even in low light ,they glow.
